Mission Statement
The Educational Network for Academics, Arts and Character Training (E.N.A.A.C.T.) Family Academy exists to serve homeschool families by supplementing and supporting
what they are doing at home and providing a safe setting for homeschooled students and parenteachers
to interact.
E.N.A.A.C.T. has been successfully based on two goals:
1. To meet the real needs of homeschooling
families.
2. To use the God-given talents and abilities of our members as teachers.
As a ministry and outreach of Tree of Life Chruch,
E.N.A.A.C.T. seeks to bring individuals and families from different
backgrounds into kingdom relationships with Christian people and ultimately
to serve the Lord Jesus Christ.

Positive
Socialization
Positive
socialization with age-mates in a safe atmosphere is the most widely agreed
upon need of E.N.A.A.C.T. homeschoolers. By
including parents as volunteer teachers and helpers, and a range of ages in
many of our classes, our kids come together in a community, rather than in
the isolated peer group of a traditional classroom. The kids enjoy same-age
friendships, as well as friendships with children and adults who are years
younger or older.
Secular educators and other critics of homeschooling
often comment on the importance of peer-group socialization and preparation
for the "real world," but the reality that they refer to is the
classroom, not the reality of living, working, and getting along as a
member of a family or in a career. Homeschooled
children are positively socialized among friends and relatives of all ages,
and learn how to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds, including
their own peers.
