End of Semester Program class performances, project
displays, and awards.
Participating Parent’s
Absence - You
are allowed 2 excused absences per semester for circumstances such as transportation
problems, illness, vacation, or a sick child, if you make a genuine attempt
to obtain subs and call the coordinator.
Unexcused: Your
absence is unexcused if you already have 2 absences that semester. We still ask that you make a genuine attempt
to obtain subs and call in to let us know that you will be absent. In the event of your unexcused absence,
you will be charged $5 per class hour that you are responsible for, up to a
maximum of $20 per day. This is not
a fine, but tuition that you are paying in lieu of your participation,
regardless of whether your children are in attendance that day. It is payable when you return.

Substitutes - If you are unable to
attend it is your responsibility to arrange for someone to sub for
you. You will get a list of
available subs during registration.
When possible, you need to call the sub ahead of time to let them
know that you will be absent and need a replacement. Here's how it works: When a teacher needs to be absent, they
call their assigned helper for each class.
The helper becomes the substitute teacher. Then, the absent teacher must also call a
replacement helper from the substitute list. When a helper, lunch monitor, set-up or
clean-up person needs to be absent, they call a replacement from the
substitute list.
